The increased prevalence of cardiovascular disease has demanded that
we pay more attention to the strengthening and protection of our hearts.
Unfortunately, the arrival of the COVID-19 Pandemic has forced us to
change how we approach such improvement. Limited access to cardiac
rehab and fitness centres has made exercising for better heart health
more challenging, thereby highlighting the need for Remote Heart
Monitoring. As such, this seminar has our panel of experts discussing how
you can assess your heart health yourself, how hard you should push your
heart during exercise, and how your heart’s performance and health can
be recorded and shared in real time with Fourth Frontier.

Dr. Contractor Discusses:
- The ‘J shaped relationship’ between exercise and immunity, and how this should influence your exercise.
- The risk of contracting COVID-19 when engaging in outdoor exercise, and tips for reducing the risk.
- How you should approach physical training if you have contracted and recovered from COVID-19.

- Tom describes all the cardiac problems that he faced, outlining the ways in which his heart health was assessed as well as the treatment methods he was offered.
- Tom then describes how the Frontier X was able to pinpoint problematic ‘ectopic activity’ after a multitude of other methods/tests failed to do so.
30.25
CEO of Fourth Frontier, Sandeep Sibal, talks about the Frontier X smart heart monitoring device in detail.
- Sandeep shows the actual device while talking about all of its features and specifications.
- He talks of the different metrics that the device is able to record, also touching upon its ability to analyse the data and respond as necessary in real time.
- He shares visuals of the Frontier X Dashboard, showcasing the manner in which the collected data is represented.
- He discusses how to interpret and interact with a number of graphical representations of the recorded data.
- Finally, he shows a Live ECG Stream that is being recorded as he speaks, demonstrating how users can remotely share/access ECG data in real time.

- The difference between the spot check that a wrist worn ECG watch offers and the continued recording capacity of the Frontier X.
- The difference between wrist-based and chest-based ECG recording.
42.14
Tim briefly touches upon the issues related to users potentially being unable to interpret the different data that the Frontier X provides, leading into a question about the Cardiac Athlete Program as a way to bridge that gap.
Dr. Contractor discusses:
- What the Cardiac Athlete Program Is.
- How remote heart monitoring can allow lower risk individuals to bring out their “inner athlete” in a completely safe manner.
